I'm a Ralph Bakshi fan from way back, but I still don't know how I got a Wizards vibe from a WoW-based sci-fi flick. Still, I got an unmistakably Bakshi-esque feel from Olibith's (http://www.wow.com/tag/olibith) entry into the BitFilm Festival 2009 Machinima Award (http://www.bitfilm.de/festival/machinima.php), a short film titled La Terroriste (http://www.bitfilm.de/festival/member.php?page=fd&fid=3143&id=111406&category_token=MA).
It's a brief movie, and fairly odd. It's one of those movies where I know what's going on, I can understand enough High School French to get the vibe of the language, and I'm still kind of like "whoah." La Terroriste definitely has a surreal vibe. I'd try and explain the plot, but i really think that any transcription of it would lesson the effect.
Overall, though, I totally dug the video. It's a lot of fun, and it doesn't drag on longer that its material can support. If you like the video, you can swing by the festival and vote for it. World of Workcraft (http://www.bitfilm.de/festival/member.php?page=fd&fid=3489&id=119052&category_token=MA) is also appearing in the same contest. You do have to register, but it doesn't take long to do that. We've featured both World of Workcraft (http://www.wow.com/2008/06/21/wow-moviewatch-world-of-workcraft/) and La Terroriste (http://www.wow.com/tag/la-terroriste) before, but it's worth another look while the BitFilm Festival is still taking place.
