I was wondering if were gonna get involved with WoW.
I've been reading alot of the wow fan sites and the blizzard sight and I am quite excited for this release.
I sure some of us are gonna get it. I also was wondering if maybe You guys could put a spot on the fourms for Wow and maybe a channel for TS.. Forgive me for asking but I have come to enjoy the personalities I have found with you all and would like to keep it here.
I plan to play Wow..the trouble is..I told my self that I won't pay for 2 different games..1 will get played..and 1 will not..waste of $$. that's my Nicotine fund there for a month..dam copenhagen..
So..SOE has just took out cash for this month..after this month, around the time of release of wow Levo will hang is prized lasher above the fireplace.

As soon as wow comes out I want to make a guild..it will be called the same namesake as we are now..I hope to see some of you there..Untill then..gonna lash some fools..

WTF is World of Warcraft? How do you play? Is there any coordination skill involved or is it a strategy based game in 3rd person? I have a hard time getting into that role playing quest thing. Next thing I know I would be playing D&D and have truly turned to the dark side of geekdom. Levo or whoever can give me some kind of description please do.

I am addicted to Planetside. When it goes away I will cry:( I cannot think of any other game that has ever come close to being 1/3 as entertaining as PS. I know its not what it used to be but I still have a blast with it.

Ya levo a few of the THZ guys are going to play it I think and Ferret is too. Don't know who else around here is going to play but I've heard a few people say they are. I think their is a ATF room set up for WoW.

If you want to make a guild for WoW and use the ATF I say go for it! :D You can lead it and all that and look you ready have a forum up :D. Im sure you'll suck some others in too. As far as leaving PS we will miss you but I know you'll be back :). Im like kwood Im still lovin PS and Im makin him money :D. Im not into RPG's but maybe Ill watch how things go as I love playing with all you guys. I think without this group I wouldn't be playing still.

I've posted on the WB fourms about this as well..some of them will be playing it as well..Last night I played PS for about an hour..got so sick of getting squashed by friendly bfr's chaseing 1 lowly NC I went back to sanc..

As far as roleplaying game go..You don't have to roleplay..if you don't want to. I find role playing kinda corny my self..I was a hard core EQ fan and if this is any thing close to EQ I will be loss to PS..PS has changed..each patch the game gets more lagy it seems..now with all the Big friggen ..well you know where i'm going with that..I can't play the style I like to play. You know what realy gets me mad.. I was just starting to get real good with the lasher..I was beating people that always own me.

Ya the damn lag issue is getting worse and worse every patch. Hopefully they will look into or I won't play much either. You get too many BFR's in one place ang omg my FPS's go down to 5. I was getting some FPS issues before the BFR's but them coming in made it worse. Sucks cuz we use to get some awesome battles not its hard to get anyone to get out of their damn mechs. I leave mine and luckily havent lost it by hackers or anything. They could have made this BFR thing better and made them harder to get as cave caps and certs. I don't know we will see though but if lag continues don't see much fun in it. Devs need to put more effort into this issue, Im sure they would if it was EQ.

Won't hurt to try it out with you guys in open beta since its free :D.

right now i'm playing with the folks from SOUP, we're currently playing on test server 15 in the central time zone, i have no idea what the servers wil be called once the game is released, but we'll most likely be playing in a central or mountain timezone server

right now we're all grouped up near tiristfal glades in the undead lands, we have a good group going, i'm an undead mage, we're all about lvl 10-12 and we've got all the races in our party, tauren, orcs, trolls it's very easy to get to the undead lands from your starting locations, just run to the orcish capital city of ogrimarr and take the south zeppelin to the undercity

everyone should pick up the open beta once it starts and try the best MMO ever made

Well I broke down and created a character, the blue chick? Troll?. I wanted to be an Elf but that is an Alliance and everyone seemed to be going Horde and hey its always good to be the naughty one :D.

My first RPG and I kinda liked it (gosh hate saying that :)). Not knowing much about this type of game play I can see it being fun as a group. And I think I'd create a character on each so I could play with everyone, good and evil.

Not sure about the PVP vs PVE stuff. Don't know what server we would choose just don't know if I want to be walking along and some thug come take me out without my goons to protect me :D. Explain the difference to me plz?

Should we use the ATF name or make a different guild name but use the ATF boards? Something to thinik about :). And even if I do play I don't necessarily need to be the outfit leader in this game also. Someone can take this game if they wanted but if nobody wanted the job I guess I could take it (if I do play) but if anyone else wanted it go for it.

Why did you guys pick server 15? Isn't that an east coast server? Are we gonna vote on main faction/race? I mean doesnt it make sense for everyone's main char to be the same race?

The servers and sides are still up in the air it seems. East coast doesn't really matter to me, ping doesn't exactly matter a whole lot in roll the dice battle. A central server would of course be optimum, however we do have a couple euro's here.

Once they do the servers we will be able to decide better from what I hear. It seems majority are leaning towards Horde but I will make another character to play with the people that want to do Alliance also.

We got to think of a name also if we are not going to use ATF. Be kinda cool to have a different name, mysterious or something, but make sure ATF is still working into it somehow.

This is my first RPG so you will probably get alot on nagging questions over and over :).

We are on a few SH. Either 15, 3, or 6.

I got a key, so Gryphon can play at the same time now, so I set up characters on 15 (Horde) and 3 (Alliance). If I need to set another one up let me know so I can try to play with you or visa versa. Oh and my name changed, its ChestyLaRu :D.

All primary characters don't necissarilly need to be the same race. Just the same faction. After you get up a few levels, most races can meet up with just a boat ride or airship or something. Only a few races (ex. Night Elves) are off on their own and hard to get too at the lower levels. But the lower levels go so fast on the grand scale of the game, it really doesn't matter alot.

You know what really is silly..soomehow with all these post on servers and races and all, were still all split up to the 4 winds. I'm sure your toons are getting around mid lvl now and you don't want to start over. Hell, I don't.
Maybe a server wipe on release could be a good thing for all of us to get our "stuff" togather.
Right now the ones of us that had NC toons on Markov are useing Icenodes TS server

Ya maybe a server wipe will be good :). We had a good group last night and with the higher levels got some quests done. I bet Gryphons feelin it staying up past our bedtimes :).

NOOO! Gryphon Narrow down the selection. When the game server names come out! You need to list 2 servers.1 PVP ,1 PVE.

If anyone wants a PVP server then we can have just one, it would be fun to play against your friends and people you know.

No need to have one server for every 3 people that want to do something different. We should just stick with two severs. This way we are all together even if we are on opposite sides of the war. As for the ping times, I think it’s only fair that we have central servers while this will benefit the people in central time zone the most it is a better idea then playing on an east serer where I’ll have a good ping, Gryphon a decent ping and the hippies in Cali getting bad pings.

In the end the people that don’t want to hang with the rest will do their own thing so no reason to bend over backwards to make sure everyone is happy.

If we can’t agree where we want to play then no big deal everyone get their friends on their server and don’t worry bout the rest.

Just wanted to say, if you haven't managed to explore a few of the towns yet, and have never seen Iron Forge; go there, do it now. If Iron Forge doesn't inspire you to be a dwarf, or at least alliance, then you just might have been cheering for the "evil eye" in Lord of the Ring. :P

I'm leaning towards the alliance now. Yesterday, Orcs started an attack on North shore. Massive fighting on the roads skeletons every where, including mine. We finally pushed em back and got a raid going. We went in to Horde land for the counter Attack and most of the "Zerg" started attacking the lvl 40+ guards..well those guards destroyed most of the raid force. Those of us that were not attacking the guards ran towards an orc town ans started taunting them to come out an play. They did, it was mass confusion. there were orc and Night Elve bodys every where. I killed a 21 orc warrior.. You should have seen the arrows sticking out of him..lol.
after about 7 min. of fighting the orc's close spawn point over whelm us and we all died. I got ganged raped with a 20+ rouge butchering me..OWWWWWW. so I get back in my bod at the grave yard and click my soul stone to get out of dodge. Every piece of my armor and weapon were destroyed. I payed 8 silver and 50 copper to repair my self. That is some fun crap can't wait to do it again!

No the servers are, for a better word, fucked up for now. They fixing them as I type this still no eta on when the servers are gonna come up.
I was on server 15central pvp with that raid I was talking about in my prior post.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties which are causing a number of servers to be unavailable. We are devoting all our resources to resolving these issues and hope to have a resolution soon. Unfortunately, we do not yet have an ETA for when these servers will return to normal service but updates will be posted in the Server Status forum as soon as we have more information.



This issue is also affecting our Game Masters’ ability to assist customers. As such, any requests for help currently in the petition queue cannot be answered, nor will players be able to submit additional requests for help until the issue is resolved. Thank you for bearing with us and we apologize for the inconvenience!

You got butchered by level 20+ cheek makeup?

I can tell you one thing, in the smaller PvP encounters, it pays to have range. By the time I can get to anything with my rogue, hunters or mages have it dead. And if they run, I can only sprint to catch them once every 5 min. So that kinda sucks. However, the 1 large battle I was in, I ripped 2 people to shreds before they even knew I was there, (1 - 19 warlock, 1 - 17 warrior) was working on a 3rd (21 rogue) when a priest noticed me, healed the rogue, and then I was just over powered by his level. I was lvl 19 NE rogue at the time. Fun as hell.

i just had a big fight because of lag, it was awsome we had like 10 elves just standing around for 2 minutes then the lag cought up and like 10 furblogs and their shamens spawned and everyone started fight. in this small room in a cavern place.
