Thottbott seems to be quite flaky on the character profiles. No matter how many times I run the updater, my profile won't update. So I have started using WoWrankings.

You can get the info at http://www.wowrankings.com/

It is prettier than thottbot, and actually has quite a few more features. It does require you to register for free to upload information, but not to search and view.

Just thought I'd post a link for anyone else that wanted to see their character online, and thottbot simply wasn't cutting it.

Cool, i just looked at the guild listings for Mal... and out of like 15 only 2 are allied the rest are horde. plus Goon squad has 500 members.

It will only list the guilds, that have members running the WoWRankings mod. It doesn't pull info from blizzard, so it can only compile the data it collects and uploads. We just need to get more people aware of the mod if we want a more accurate account of what Mal'Ganis looks like in numbers.

Technically its a UI mod + Updater, very similar to the way cosmos runs.

1: Download the file. Extract it contents somewhere you can find it. (Desktop works fine)
2: Open the directory it extracted, there should be a directory and an exe file in there, select them both, right click on one, select copy, then browse to your World of Warcraft directory. (C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft) by default
3: Once you have the WoW directory open, goto edit menu, and select paste.
4: Now scroll down and find the exe at the bottom that you just pasted in, and run it to configure your settings.

goodluck.

I looked at the ranking web site and it is sick how much info on your character this thing will gather. I have downloaded the updater and will install it when I get home from work. Have any of you guys that have it installed noticed any in game problems after installing the updater?

Haven't noticed any problems. Only thing I have noticed, is that from time to time, when it parses your bags, the tooltips of some of your items may pop up for a second and go away. No biggie, and I rarely even notice it.

This thing is sweet, the only problem that I can see is that from time to time my PC has trouble comunicating with their upload server. I saw they just came out with a new beta verson that might fix this problem. All in all it is a great tool and I highly recomend installing it

I finally got around to installing this for Stang and I. Works great, profiles update quickly and it has the option to run the cosmos.exe after it completes so you can still continue to use both updaters.

This does no GUI modifications at all, so there is no way to take a SS Jadal. They do however have a GUI mod on their site called Showdown, this is not the download you need. After you have registered you will be directed to the download for the profiler.

My profile: http://www.wowrankings.com/viewb.htm?id=8967

My only complaint, is the speed of their site.
