Doubt many of you heard about the wide spread power outages in Lima, Ohio. Well, I was one of them. 89% of the city was powerless. So from the 5th untill the 9th I was out of power at home. But the falling branches that took the power line out to the house also took out the cable which is my internet. Cable line is back and now I have internet again. The officails say an entire generation of trees have been destroyed and the limbs will take months to clean up. The floods this week have hampered efforts of bringing every thing back to full power and for a couple of days blocked off the city of Ottawa, where my Mom's parents live, from any form of transport (all the roads in and out were flooded over with several feet of water). Atleast no major damage to my home, and no more branches are left above the power line now. Now got to play catchup with classes that were canceled.

Thats good that your house made out unscathed and beleive me when I say that you are lucky.

We got hit by a hurricane in 03' and had similar damage, that must have been some storm!!

Though oddly enough...on a beautiful day with not a cloud in the sky.....my neighbors tree fell into my backyard...onto our power and cable lines. It was kinda dead but it had leaves before the freakish occasion we had snow (Someone sold snow from Brownsville on eBay for $70). Damn tree.

All around, this winter's weather has been very unusual. Flooding in SoCal, Arizona, and Nevada or the dessert..

Snow in South Texas. Here is a link to mapquest so you can appreciate how far south me and Torque are ;)

-54 in Minnestoa!! Some guy said that the -20's are ok but -50 is too much. Must be pretty used to it since I need a swear for +54 :D
