If not...

The makers of Global Agenda, HiRez studios, have bought the Tribes franchise..

Their announcement?

Tribes Universe.

I’m sure many of you have questions, so here are a few quick highlights for Tribes Universe:

* Three Tribes (factions)
* Full clan (agency) support
* First person view (third person for some vehicles)
* Full vehicle support (ground and air)
* Full persistent world with territory control (no instances)
* PvP focused
* Huge outdoor maps (about 10x the area of sonoran desert)
* Large scale fights (100+ players)
* Jetpacks, skiing, lots of weapons, etc

Alpha testing will begin at the start of the year (about 3 months from now) and Global Agenda players with level 50 characters will have priority in entering Alpha and Beta testing

Yeah saw that. I have reservations from what I played of Global Agenda.

As long as they don't go Tribes: Vengeance type playstyle, it should be OK.

When did you play Global Agenda? The recent Sandstorm patch as well as other stuff have gone towards content and balancing.

And frankly the HiRez team actually works to patch broken shit quickly. As of so far, they're the most responsive set of developers I've ever seen.

I played during beta, I didn't care for the environments, gear or instancing, not because of balance or bugs. I don't really care for the Unreal Engine either, what was used for Tribes: Vengeance too.
