For those interested, here is some information that has been compiled thus far regarding the game...

Having spent many years (probably 7) working my way up to the rank of Rear Admiral of an online based Star Trek RPG, this game is extremely interesting to me. In the sim group I was in, I played a Vulcan named Vorak that worked his way up from engineering to command. I can basically follow this same path in this game. The best part is that as you complete missions, not only can you upgrade your own skills/EXP but that of your ship. So you'd start out with say, a Sabre class ship and could keep trading your ship in to work your way up to a Sovereign.

When this comes out, we should get everyone together on the same the ship here. The USS Tribal Force sounds like a good name to me ;)

Also, with the addition of Michael Okuda as a graphic artist, they will have genuine LCARS interfaces in the game. Here is a link to a shockwave showing what a control panel may look like in the game...

I have been watching this games development for years. Still has my interest is it doesn't cost as much as PS per month. But we won't learn that until closer to the release date.

What career do each of you look foward to being?

Me, I think Engineering will be where I will go and if I can create a second character then he would be Helm.

I'll probably start out engineering but go directly to command.
