I dont know if the 360 is going to do so well, the Nintendo Revolution looks very interesting.

The Revolution will also be about half the price of the Xbox 360, estimated retail being $200 compared to $400 for 360.

Eh, Fisher Price could make a better console than Nintendo. In fact, I think that is where Nintendo gets their design ideas.

I don't know man.. I like my Gamecube about 400,000 times more than the xbox we use to have.

GameCube is the flagship for the Fisher Price modeling style. I like the XBox 400,000 times more than the GameCube I tried.

xbox games are boring and the PS2 has most of them.

I dunno...Mechassault was pretty cool just for the ability to stomp on things. Crimson Skies was a lot of fun too.

The fact that you weren't staring at loading screens for half of your play time was another advantage of the Xbox over the PS2.

Back in my console days, I was a Sega fanboy...they are still my favorite publisher.

I think the same games on PS2 look like crap. I have seen Burnout on both XBox and PS2 and the PS2 looks like jaggy washed out pos.

PS2 didn't have the graphic power of the xbox but it wasn't horrible either and their game selection was massive.

Game selection doesn't matter to me if they look like gravel. I can't think of a game I wanted that was PS2 only, but then I don't look at what games they have.

Having a greater selection of crap does not make a better console. The only knock I had on the Xbox was the original controllers that were too big. The S-Type controllers fixed that, and from then on the Xbox was much better.

Every once in a great while, I'd get a title from both to compare. After about the third one where the PS 2 had worse graphics and 2 to 3 times the loading time, I stopped doing that.

However, this IS an apples to oranges comparison. Just saying...

Dreamcast>X-Box, PS2, and GC. It had online gaming and is the foundation of the current generations of consoles.

Xbox had a smaller selection of crap with slightly better graphics. If you ask almost any game player console or otherwise most will tell you graphics != better gaming.

Better graphics, better load time, built-in save functionality, sound customizations support and (after the S-Type controller) similar controls/gameplay to the competition = better console.

Of course, the Xbox being the superior console is hardly a surprise given the difference in release dates. It'd be hard to NOT have a better console in those circumstances. Hence the apples to oranges comparison, they're not really in the same generation.

xbox == better technological console but better technology with a poor game selection does not a better gameplay experience make.

There weren't any ground-breaking PS2-only titles that fit into the "must have" category that defined something in the genre.

Given the lack of any clearly superior titles (the Nintendo Gamecube could at least claim it had much better "party" games), Xbox wins.

FFX was a must have for me.

XBox had no appeal to me. Its an overpriced piece of shit. If I'm gonna pay that much for a game console, I'll just upgrade my computer since the game will eventually be released for the PC at a cheaper price. I can't think of many games that were released with good storylines, developed characters, and good gameplay for the console.

I'm excited about the Nintendo Revolution too. They may not have the best graphics, but damn if the games aren't fun and playable with more than one person. The fact I'll be able to download older games from past consoles onto this one is really exciting.

My main quip with the xbox: you've gotta have 88 fingers to control the damn thing. That and Microsoft made it. I don't want to be stuck playing games that need a keyboard/mouse combo to move efficiently on a shitty controller. Again, give me a PC for that already.
