I'm intending to kick-start any Tribes mod's development after release myself by integrating the player & Icarus physics and reworking the skiing to be more like T1 (my favourite). I'd then release that code to the public so y'all can take it from there - I'm a Tribes fanatic from way back so I'd love to see a decent Tribes mod for the game!

Isn't there one being made for the Source engine as well?

I am hoping something good will come from the Legions source.

tribes 1 and 2 were teh schtuff that got me hooked on gaming.
booted up T2 the other day...even remembered my user name and password...played rabbit for a few minutes(heck about as many populated servers as there were 2 years ago.), and after wandering around through some of my friends' old sites, i've arrived here, lol.
Quakewars ALMOST got me hooked, but i relented right at the end. Even though they even have a jetpack(drool)...

I was also trying to figure out what happened to the full conversion mod for Starsiege, stemming from T:V, everything seems to lead to a dead end there tho.

Starsiege 2845, it got cancelled after they had difficulties with Vivendi.

not surprised. EVERYONE seems to have problems with sierra..er i mean vivendi......look at the FEAR team. they make this excellent game with a powerful story. now the team that made the game is developing on their own, using their characters, but they can't use the name FEAR because its been insitutionalized by sierra, so that they can crank out FEAR sequels..I already smell Tribes foul up from here....
