Sorry, Combat engineering requires ordinary Engineering, so I'm afraid that won't work. They may have the figures right, but not the cert tree itself with all prerequisites and such. As far as I know, there isn't really any fully functional updated character generator out there. Oh yes, there is!

It seems to be up to date. Yep, it does. Even got the current implant status, BR6=1 impl, BR12=2 impl, BR18=3 impl. Use this one instead. It's better looking too. :)

and advance hacking only sppeds up the process

Having Adv. Hacking, I can tell you if you want to concentrate on being a hacker, its well worth it. I can hack a facility in a mere 15 seconds or so. Also, I have the ability to jack vehicles in the field quickly, such as the Vanguard I stole from the NC a couple nights ago ;)

So, if you hack the vehicle, you don't need a cert to drive it?

I believe you still need the correct cert to drive it, but you could hack it and then jump in the turret gunners spot even if you couldnt drive.

Besides, Adv. Hacking lets you hack terminals in an enemy controlled or hacked base to enable your empire to use them. THAT's cool.

Actually, you can do that with regular hacking right now....they will prolly change that when the game goes live. The only thing Adv. hacking does right now is speed up hack times.

Yes. And about the hacking of vehicles, you must have the equivalent cert. I have a cert for a Magrider, which is why I was able to drive the Vanguard around. What I did though was just position it facing the door of the tower the NC were in, then hopped in the gunners seat and OWNED a NC MAX when he walked out the door. The firepower on the Vanguard is awesome.
