I put it in the closet and the CMOS battery died, finding the configuration disks on line was not easy!

I think its kind of funny that you see this old computer and sitting in the back ground is WoW, Fear, and Unreal.

I'll bet there are people here that would have to stop and think how to use that telephone.....

It works, but thats for incoming calls... 10 digit dialing takes away the nostalgia factor right quick.

by the way, my first phone number was UL4-0858

ohh my....that really does make you old with that type of phone number

Stoke I will have you know at my parent's house a rotary phone was the only phone we had for a long time, I think it still hangs on the wall for use during power outages. I remember they had to put a long cord on the phone so my brothers (they are 4 and 9 years older than me) could talk on the phone in their room and their room was halfway across the house. But my parents finally updated to a cordless phone by the time i was a teenager :D

Yeah, the original phone that was put in my grandparents house way back when is still hanging on the wall and is still pretty much the only phone in the house. My aunt (who lives there now) had a cordless once but when it died, she never replaced it. The receiver part weighs about 18lbs. She's always concerned about someone breaking in the house or whatnot and I tell her if they do, just hit them on the head with that thing... it'll take em out.

But yeah, I'll be over there and decide I want to call my brother who lives next door....its a bad day when I realize I dont ahve my cell phone and I have to use that thing....takes about 3 minutes to dial the number with that rotary dial..... :-)
