Bought out by SOE, is there a worse way for an MMO to go?
Now, given that Vanguard was designed by the mind behind EverQuest, maybe they can find a way to not screw it up, but given their track record with PS and SWG, how long do we think it'll be before Sony commits some sort of major gaffe? :)
Of course, asking half the employees of Sigil to come outside and delivering their pink slips en masse (http://www.f13.net/?itemid=560) might qualify, but supposedly that wasn't SOE's doing. Right...of course...people weren't fired because the next day the company was being bought out....no.... :)
I dunno, it's funny that SOE can have such good MMOs at the start and then find a way to cock them up entirely. They're becoming more and more like EA in that regard.
