What games did you get? Trying to talk the Mrs. into one of these using the fitness angle (lol)

Just the Wii Sports disc that came with it and the Wii Play disc that came with the 2nd controller we bought.

For now.

I'm not trying to imply anything about Stoke here....but this looked interesting:

Given the work out that boxing can be, a game actually devoted to exercise would be very nice...especially for those of us who could probably use a bit more activity in our lives instead of sitting on the computer for hours and hours on end at work and home.........

I have boxed one time. After recovering from the semi-heart attack, i decided not to do that again..... for now.

Ha! Wait until you get to the point that they fight back. :) During the school's Spring Break where 12 monthers have to be there but nobody else does I brought in the Wii and we spent the better part of the afternoon in the shop playing around with it. Now, we have a lot of guys in the shop who, to be diplomatic, need some exercise...but we have a handful that are actually "in shape" too.

One of these somewhat in shape fellows was quite good at boxing...winning the early rounds in literally 15-20 seconds of match time. By about the 700-800 difficulty level he was taking much longer and he was almost completely red from the blood flow/exertion (impressive, since the guy is Vietnamese). It's definitely the most intense of the Wii Sports games, but it's a great workout too. :)

I usually warm up with a couple rounds of the batting practice one where they throw you 20 pitches. Swap sides (since you don't need to be accurate), then do a boxing match or two. :) Nice, quick and easy...though I highly advise against drinking and doing it...when you dull the "hmm...getting tired" messages from the body, you can wake up the next morning to not being able to move. :p

I highly advise against playing boxing with Mrs. Stoke. The danger of cross-over violence is simply too great.

My friend who got his Wii about a month or so ago - which really prompted my search to get one - gets his ass beat about twice a week by his wife. He says its better to let her take out her pent up frustrations against him in Wii Boxing than IRL.....

I destroyed her at golf, tennis and 9-ball pool though to make up for it....

But without the bowling crown, a hollow victory at best.

Again, did you challenge her to power throw? :) Trying to knock down 100+ pins at once is fuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.

Well who wouldnt loss at golf you fall asleep playing and watching that sport :).

My finger gets a good workout on 360 from pressing the gas tab but now I can work on my arms as we have gotten the steering wheel :). So slowly we are reaching the fitness levels.
