A way around it? Stang and I use dual monitors, we run WoW in maximized windowed mode so we can mouse onto the other screen etc without WoW getting minimized. I don't think there is even any performance difference between windowed mode and non.

Well, here are my problems....

If I choose windowed mode, it reverts to using the desktop gamma. It becomes very dark. There are no settings on my monitor that allow for enough adjustment to bring it back to what I am used to with the in game setting.

Also, when in windowed mode my FPS drops to about 12-15. Normally it averages in the low 30s.

The only thing I can figure out is that my graphics card (geforce 7900 gtx) just doesnt have enough ass to handle it...

I am using two GeForce 8800GT's, one for each LCD monitor with all video settings maxed except for shadows. I just tested to be sure, and the FPS doesn't change for me between windowed and non and I didn't see any gamma difference, though I do see that the gamma option gets disabled.

I haven't used them before, but isn't there program specific settings in the nVidia control panel you can set the gamma for WoW?

The 9 series Nvidia cards are damn cheap now.. I'd probably go with one of those. :D
