Are you ready for Naxxaramis?!?

I just thought I would post some links to sites that might help us get ready for Naxx.

Please please, post any ideas or links to help out.

For gear and spell/ability rotations:

MaxDPS.com - World of Warcraft Gear Rankings - News
Class Mechanics - Elitist Jerks (as much as I hate to post that link :hmm: )

Here are a couple of Naxx information sites I've found:

Project Marmot -- TankSpot Raid Movie Guides - TankSpot
Naxxramas | Almost Gaming

And some general information I've found:

Minimum Requirement for Tanks
Defense Rating: 540 (Defense Cap)
Health: 25k
Armor: 21k+

Minimum Requirement for DPS class
All dps class should have at least more than 1.4k dps… 2k would be good.
Classes whose dps depends on Attack Power should have at least 2.5k Attack Power.
Classes whose dps depends on Spell Power should have at least 1350 Spell Power.
Dps should have at least 75% towards the hit cap.
(17% Hit cap for casters)
(8% Hit cap for hunters)
(28% Hit cap for dual-wield melee)
(8% Hit cap for single-wield melee)
(*Note: The presence of a Draenei in your party (not just raid; it is still party-only). Their Heroic Presence racial ability gives +1% chance to hit with attacks thus enabling you to swap 32.79 points of hit rating for more useful stats.)

Minimum Requirement for Healers
Healers should have at least 1400 Bonus Heal
Note: A resto Druid or a resto Shamman would be really good to have in the raid group as a lot of the bosses do Poison damage in Naxxramas. For example Maexxana in Arachnid Quarter casts ‘Necrotic Poison’ (Reduces healing taken by 90% for 30 seconds) to targets in melee range in front of Maexxna, generally the tank. If the tank is not cleansed from this poison immediately then that’s a guaranteed wipe. Abolish Poison (Druid spell) is the most effective way to remove it.

Again, this is a MINIMUM check list.

Here is a link to Apocalypse Meow's forums. I'll post a link in their forums back to ours.

Apparently me, CB, the AM folks and the others that ventured in there last night are not ready.

Our Group + Patchwerk = Fail

Noth, Anub'Rekhan or Razuvious might be better places to start than Patchwerk. Razuvious in particular does not test the tanks' gear at all. I think he may have more difficult trash though.

I highly recommend the Project Marmot videos linked above.

We are ready and we are getting more ready. I know Stoke and I have been working to upgrade gear and it showed. Thanks to everyone that has pitched in with gear and Heroic runs!

We ran and completed Sartharion, then completed the "Arachnid Quarter" in Naxxramas and then took down Patchwerk.

It was split 50/50 for guild makeup. The AM people are great to run with and a lot of fun. Stoke even stayed up past his bedtime.
Looking forward to progression.

Re: Are you ready for Naxxaramis?!?

It is worth noting that on March 12th, 2009 ATF and AM cleared the entirety of Naxxramas 10 in 3.5 hours with 0 wipes.

According to Skillet's recount, the worst DPS on the run was still above 2k. If you're looking to run raid content, it is highly advised if you aren't hitting the 1.5k minimum outlined that you visit the various forums (MaxDPS, EJ, wowhead, etc.) and find a good spec/rotation that will provide it. Ideally as Skillet mentioned and the most recent raid showed, you're really looking for 2k+ if possible.

If you are unsure of what your DPS is, the training dummies in the city can easily be used for that purpose. :) If you don't know how to run a recount-like addon or don't want to, you should be able to group with someone who does (ask in guild chat) and they can report it.

Good luck!

No. Numerous people still died, just never the entire group.

Not as solid this past week. ~4 hours (more if you count CB's failure to keep his computer from crashing) to only take out the quarters. Still not shabby, but not as nifty either.

I blame the warlock who was half asleep and trying to figure out the fights he had not seen before....

Re: Are you ready for Naxxaramis?!?

what really happened was I didnt see any positive or negative....so I just started running that way....by the time I saw the positive and turned around to head back, it was too late. I think I did mostly ok for not having seen half of it before.....and the fact I was dead tired.... and half sick......

my dps is still lacking. I topped 2000 a couple times but overall at the end of the evening I was in the 1700s. I didnt reset per fight, that was just a running total. I gained the most dps with the AOE. I need to look at how to boost that if nothing else. I dont really wanna have to change from affliction (basically because thats all I've ever really done) and learn a whole new spec but if I have to..........
