dale Jr. announces Sponsors and number for new hendrick Motorsports team

Title says it all. I saw the press conference today, and it's going to be Mt. Dew Amp and the National Guard as his sponsors with the number 88. I saw some pics of the new car designs, as it seems Mt. Dew and the National Guard are primary co-sponsors, but the 2 cars look pretty nice and clean with good colors.

Anyone see the Press release that Kasey Kahne is going to have Budweiser as his sponsor next year? The look is nothin special, it's just got a 9 on it instead of an 8. Budweiser is too smart to let a marketing opportunity like NASCAR go by the wayside, IMO.

I think Bud is trying to stick with tradition with its car. The design has really changed little (you know, decoration wise, not car wise).

The green for the Amp car looks wierd there, but in some other photos I found, it looks alot darker and better. I figured he would take 88, cause he said it was going to be that a while ago, or if he could get it 83. But I think he wanted a total fresh start on his own, so he stuck away from any number with 3 in it.

It was total chaos here in the Mooresville area yesterday..... even though the press conference was in Texas (of all places), people were swarming around the JR Motorsports building.... traffic sucked....

ya, some of the pics I've seen have the green as a different shade.. But overall, I like both the schemes, but think the National guard car is better. It's just a shame it's a co-branding.. But a clever one by HMS and Dale JR.. Lots more merch sales!
