Anything benefits from running video cards in SLI mode, they spit the processing power regardless of the application. Unfortunately, we also each have dual LCD monitors, the two video cards together offer a total of 4 DVI ports, you think we would be set.....but no. When you have the video cards in SLI mode you can only use one monitor. The only way to use two monitors is buy a 3rd non-nvidia card run run the second monitor while keeping the dual cards in SLI mode, or turn off SLI mode and run the dual monitors on the two cards we have. So far we just have SLI turned off.
