When GMs Screw up, you get free gold!
Okay, so here is my story from today/ tonight.
I found this asshat named bankofrow that said he had a belt of might for sale for 150g, just what I wanted it at, so he said he had to go to a guild raid and seeing as he was in SW, and I was in IF, he decided to COD it to me for 150. So, I get it sent to me and its wrapped in a blue box and has a COD of 150g...so im turbo suspicious at this point and time. So, I page a GM and ask for confirmation as to what the item inside the box was. I talked to a really nice GM for a while about stuff, and he ASSURED me that inside that box was a damned belt of might. Well guess what, it wasnt a damn belt of might, it was a friggen flint and tinder or whatever, lol. So im pissed that im out 150g at this point and time. So I logged off for a few hours. I came back on later and put in a ticket about the GM basically lying to me. So I get a response from a GM that says after looking over the transcripts between me and the other GM, the GM had mislead me against my previous instinct to return the COD and to Open it, so he forwarded my 150g back which he said would take a few days at least. Well, I then got another GM response from the same ticket (wtf? I never get 1 GM to respond, much less 2, so they must have known they ****ed up somehow.) So this guy tells me, shit, we ****ed up, sorry, you were right calling a GM, and the GM ****ed you in the butt and made you open it basically saying it was safe. So he said that he would handle the return IMMEDIATELY. So I look in my mailbox after my AV, and sure enough, there is an email from that player for 150g, PLUS the GM sent me 40 more gold, from where? I dont know, but it was from the player that scammed me. I think the GMs just gave me 40 of this asshat's gold. Im guessing hes banned or something because literally, it was 40 gold from somewhere, and im guessing it came from his account.
So yeah, thats my story of getting scammed and making money off of it thanks to the slick work of some GMs. Yay me. Yay Blizz. Yay scam busting.
I love free gold.
