Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
16-7 isn't that big of a deal...the Colts even today can't win the big one.
The Dallas-Pittsburgh game is eliminated from contention as Gryph already established the greatest game evar cannot involve a team from Texas. Dallas is in Texas, ergo... The Bengals-Niners....hmmm...that's a good one too since they actually did make it. Still, I don't know that the backstory there compares to a guy who was stocking groceries a year previous winning the Super Bowl (especially a team as historically "meh" as the Rams). |

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
1969 was a little before my time (I think it was '69 at least, I could be mistaken though!)
It is all a matter of opinion. I mean, the '85 Bears was actually the first super bowl I was alive for, I was ohh, 5ish months old about at the time, so thats a special one for me. Regardless, I was still in my Payton Jersey!!!!!! Silver we agree on alot. Dane Sucks, Stoke is Old, Texas sucks, gryphen is hawt, etc, etc, etc, etc. |

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
But I can go by the fact that it's a two score victory.

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
Who won that game again? Ohh yeah, USC lost it, no one won it. HA! By the way, I hated Vinny Young until this year, but now, he has really really impressed me. Way to go VYOUNG

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
Also, Gryphon's law that the "Greatest Game" cannot involve a team from Texas still applies.

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
Since the greatest game of all time does involve a Texas team, Gryphons rule is null and void. If such a rule was in effect, then the universe would cease to exist due to the contradictions of two truths.

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
No, it simply proves that the 2005 Rose Bowl was not the greatest game ever. In these matters, I trust the general cosmic wisdom of Gryphon over the provincial opinions of someone from the bottom of the US.

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
That looked like sloppy football to me. They didn't have anyone that could catch on their hands team.
