I'm just going to wet your appetites here.

For those of you who may have never heard of the ragnaros fight, once you start fighting him, you have three minutes to do damage to him before he goes underneath the lava, and a whole bunch of his "Sons" emerge and you have to kill them. After 1 minute of that, he comes back out of the lava to fight again (whether the sons are dead or not). The goal of everyone on the encounter is to get him below 50% at the beginning, so that you can almost certainly defeat him after the first set of sons. If you don't have the dps, you will get more waves of sons every 3 minutes. The general concensus is that if you get to a second wave of sons, lots of people will be dead, will die on the second wave of sons, and there just won't be enough people to defeat rag.

Anyways, my guild on Illidan took down Ragnaros last night after fighting 3!!! waves of sons. To our knowledge, we have never heard of anyone doing it after fighting 3 waves. Most people can't survive even 2. Now granted, I'm not sure how big an accomplishment it is........it should be done quicker, but we had a ton of healers and not as much dps as you would like, so surviving 3 waves of sons is a major feat. And he was killed at the last second by the last tick of our last man standings Shadow Word: Pain. 1 priest left standing.....1 tick left on his shadow word: pain......he kills rag the instant rag kills him. Truly a great fight....and nerve wrecking.

As a sidenote, the last priest standing is Mightzor....He is a great priest, and I'm getting lessons so he is who I am striving to be like when I hit 60 on my priest for you guys.
