Gates opening on Sunday
So what time are we meeting up? Who's leading the raid group? Who's going to show up?
I'll be working until 4 or 5 Sunday but I'll show up when I get home. |

Reading through the Mal'Ganis forums, it appears to me as if the Horde are thinking if you are not in MF, PG, or TR, then you or your guild did nothing to help the effort and therefore you will have your ass handed to you and told to go back and wait in Iron Forge....

Yea I read that.... BUT there are PLENTY of different areas. Even in Tanaris. So I would say we pick an area where we think the major peeps like GS and EJ WON'T be and then go there.

Of course, I won't be on for a few hours after they're planning on ringing the gong....

Hey guys. Just wanted to let you in on what's going on.
There are going to be resonating crystals that will spawn a Colossus all around the world. I'm not sure where exactly they are but they'll be around. Most of the larger guilds, along with most of the horde will be in Silithus. I'll be at Hive'regal in southeastern Silithus for most of the day but from what I've heard there will be a resonating crystal near Feathermoon in Feralas. If you guys want to avoid the heavy traffic and ganking I'd suggest going there. |

ok guys, so how did it go? I'm read some "this sucked" posts on the Mal'Ganis forums....
It was well after 8pm before I had a chance to log in and for whatever reasons, I never could get in. I assumed massive lag/server crash or something.... Anyway...lets have the report on what actaully happened... |

Couldn't tell ya. It took me about 30 minutes to log in around 6PM, heard nothing but constant crashes in Kalimdor and a few world crashes.
Stang, Fate, Cannon, Skillet-as-Cyclonus and myself started LBRS (hence Cannon's knowledge of the BRM camping, though it wasn't quite as bad as usual). Cannon eventually disconnected and couldn't re-connect after an hour+. Jacon morphed into Danerune (in about 30 minutes due to server lag) and we continued on after a rather impressive run by Dane to make it to the bottom of the troll room with half of LBRS following him (entryway had respawned waiting for Cannon). Greedy people with the spire eggs (*cough*DanewhowassupposedtobehealingCyclonus*cough*) and Blizzard's wonderful evade bug on the spider spawns caused a few unneeded wipes, but we ended up doing a nearly full clear of LBRS in 5-man (didn't kill the troll boss upstairs). Silver now has 2 of the 3 gems for the UBRS key, lacking only the ogre one. Sadly, had Cannon been able to finish, he would have obtained the last gem he needed for his key. I also got the abilities off of the worg down there I needed to. Not quite the "war effort", but we figured that would be more productive that trying to fight through the lag/gankfest that was the AQ gates. I do believe that because of the server issues (probably over two hours in disconnect and log-in/out delays) and a few druid stealth rez runs, it was the longest successful LBRS in recorded history. Started around 7PM, concluded around 1:30AM. Anyone brave the lag to see the actual event? |

You didnt miss much, only cool thing i saw was the colussus at hive Regale...about 4 seconds later the thing did this "Massive attack" and launched me half way across silithus to my death. After 20 minutes of waiting for the gravestone to appear on my map, i decided to logg off and play counter-strike.

Ya it sucked even if you didn't see the event as you couldn't log into the server. Took me about 45 mins to an hour and then you had to deal with the lag. 6 hrs later we finished LBRS. Great idea but they didn't think much about the servers, like usual, and more were probably sitting on the character screen most of the day.
