Framerate problem

I guess i'm not the only one. And I cant ask anyone here. Because nobody has ever heard of Planetside in the netherlands. So here is my BIG question..

AMD 2600+
512 MD ddr
Nvidea GF Ti 4200 128 mb

In sanc and stuff or when i dont see enemies my FPS is like 120 when i see some enemies and i fight it's like 15-30. But when there is real action i got 0-10. Can I get a better framerate when i buy some RAM or is this a videocard thing?

Thank you, (sorry that i made another thread stang )

RAM won't improve framerates much, if at all. It will mostly only improve load times between maps, or when you go through a doorway the first time you wont get that pause lag.

Stang has:
AMD Athlon XP 2100+
1GB
GF Ti 4200

and she gets about the same performance. Video card is your key to improved framerates.

I played on 512 ram and didn't have a problem. I just got another 512 for christmas . I see a little change but not too much.

Sorry about posting a new thread? Isnt that the point when you want help on something or to start a new topic? Weirdo

I've got 1GB RAM and a Gf4 Ti4400, and I get the same performance roughly. The load times are fast, because of the amount of RAM, but not having a newer 8x AGP card is the weak link in my system right now. Once I scrape enough cash together for one, I'm sure I'll be ok with my Athlon 2400+ and 1 GB DDR

Ok computer nerds this is for you:

My current Videocard is Nvidia GF4 Ti4200 with AGP8X

I'm putting In some 512 extra that makes it 1024 in total..

So i'm going 2 buy a new videocard.. is this one good?

ATI Radeon 9600XT Bravo 256MB DVI/TV-out

I Dont want 2 spend alot of money.. something like € 180 (euro is the same as a dollar)

Is this much better then my old and does it rock?

Thank you,

Ever since the last patch they messed up the FPS's again and so in big battles it goes crappy and even crash it gets so bad. Hope they fix it soon. I think this is the worst I've seen gameplay and I rarely have issues with PS.
