Re: Another Quiet Day Here In Forum Land
He's referring to her general stupidity with his seduce macro. Apparently "target last target" means "pick whatever the hell you want"...

Re: Another Quiet Day Here In Forum Land
Maybe said macro is unable to differentiate between her last target and his last target? I dunno...just thinking aloud.

Re: Another Quiet Day Here In Forum Land
The macro I have works beautifully about half the time.... the other half, who knows what the hell is going to happen. Issues greater than the depth of my understanding are involved here.... Fate is headed in the right direction though as best I can tell.
For me, the succy is waaaaaaaaaay harder to correctly use as CC as opposed to sheeping. If the succy is being heavily relied on for CC, it basically takes the warlock (as played by me) mostly out of the fight - or at least 50% of what damage I can add.. For starters, it seems that seduce breaks early way more often than sheep does... 2nd, when seduce breaks, the mob basically runs straight at the succy and with her low hitpoints, she goes down quicker than Silver at the all you can eat Chinese Buffet. So basically, ***IF*** I can even get the seduce to stick - which is not a 100% guarantee, more often than not, someone in the group immediately breaks it. Also, if its resisted the 1st time, with the added time to recast seduce, the tanking type people think I'm slacking and not doing my job and will turn and hit that mob right as I get the second seduce off. If I get through all that, seduce sticks and no one hits the mob, I basically have time to throw out a few dots on a second target, maybe a shadowbolt, and then all attention is turned back to said seduced mob so I can just stand there watching and waiting for seduce to break in hopes I can try to reseduce before anything nasty happens. Add in the cast time for the second seduce and usually the mob is already beating on the succy or another squishy .... Then the "Damn Warlock is slacking, I better go ahead and attack his assigned mob" reaction occurs just as the seduce is cast... Of course during this time, I have to basically ignore everything else going on in the fight to have half a chance of getting another seduce off.. Others may not have these same problems but then again, we all know I am by far the less skilled person here so... I admit my shortcomings with the felhunter as I used it about twice while leveling on my own and had absolutely zero clue as to anything related to spell lock. Refer to the above paragraph. |

Re: Another Quiet Day Here In Forum Land
Just a thought Stoke, because I remember using this technique on my mage with that dragon that eats healers in Ramparts...could you make a macro to cast searing pain on a mob at the same time as seduce? As I recall, the cast time on Searing Pain is shorter than seduce and it's a "high threat" spell so that when seduce breaks, the mob comes after you instead of the Succy. You might like that idea less, but you can take a punch better than she can. That way you both start casting at the same time (your global cooldown for Searing Pain wouldn't apply to pet abilities like seduce), you hit the mob with a high threat ability so you have way more threat than the Succy, and the seduce goes off shortly thereafter...in theory.
But yeah...just putting two and two together there because that dragon eating healers makes me toss a few spells his way regardless so he comes at my mage who can run him around for the tank instead of the healer...seems like a similar concept would work here. |
