[SWG] Focus thread: Upcoming Trader Revamp

LucidRoid took it upon himself to start a focus thread for the planned Trader revamp, and opened it with a well-thought out editorial message before diving into his proposal:

At the present time we have a fundament that actually works, except a few glitches. The evilness that broke up life for crafters was, and still is, the over-numbered and over-powered loot that came with NGE.

We don't mind loot and quest rewards. But we do mind these freebies pulling our feets.

We don't mind a revamp. But we do mind a total replacement for something that actually works.

I would much rather buy a weapon, armor or other item from a player who actually made it than be 112th in line at some spawn point waiting for my turn to loot some FOTM item. At the same time, quest rewards are awesome and should be, but they should be an option, not a requirement.
