I generally don't mind feeling hungover, because it gives me an excuse to engage in the number one hangover remedy: more drinking.
As far as drinking in general goes, to each his or her own. I love to drink. In fact most of the WoW playing I did, I did while drinking. Frils and Ditor can attest to the nights where I would be playing and then suddenly announce I needed to depart. That was generally the point at which the room started spinning (drinking and playing video games can become somewhat disorienting). All this talking about drinking is making me think about the 26 ounce bottle of Stoli and the 12 Kilkenny tall boys I've got chilling downstairs right now. Friiiiiiiiiday night and I'm not in Texas, hell yeah!!!

LOL well Ard if your mental picture of me includes a super-hot blonde, by all means, spread around that impression.
Here is my one-line impression of this whole situation: Show me a bar without drunks and I'll show you a bar owner with no money. |

Yeah Texas sucks a big soft one because it can't get it up.
I can't believe that shit passed in the legislature. That is fucking retarded. Ardy stop trying to defend your state, it now sucks worse than the rest of them and you don't have the "old retired people" excuse like Florida does.

To my understanding this law has been on the books for decades. Also they don't have to conduct any test but rather just suspicion. At least thats what I have been told by others. If I had the time I would look at the Texas laws to see how the law is written and when it came into effect.

If you drink a beer, youre not going to get arrested. They are talking about when have drunk so much to the point that you are puking, starting fights, and finding very unattractive people....attractive. Plus this will be REAL easy to fight in court and Im sure there will be a lawsuit. So LMB.

This is just like that movie Minority Report when people got arrested before they did crimes rather than afterwards. When will people realize that drunkards killing other people is just natures way of evening out the population. |

Going out and getting drunk is fine so long as you are responisble about it i.e. having a dd, etc...
"The goal, she said, was to detain drunks before they leave a bar and go do something dangerous like drive a car." "There are a lot of dangerous and stupid things people do when they're intoxicated, other than get behind the wheel of a car," Beck said. "People walk out into traffic and get run over, people jump off of balconies trying to reach a swimming pool and miss." That is what this law is for. They arnt going into the bar and arresting people for being drunk. It is for the out of control people who pose a serious threat to others. Most of you obviously do not know how much of a problem this is in Texas... Last edited by Ardamir; 04-03-2006 at 10:36 AM. |
