"Aw no! NO! NOOOOO!"
Looks like two coaches that need to work on tackling drills, IMO. |

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
Sorry but a "Greatest Football Game Evar!" cannot have a Texas team, it is impossible and would cause a rift in time and space.

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
By similar logic, such a game cannot involve any teams from the Pacific Northwest.
So what WAS the greatest game ever? |

Superbowl XXXVIII New England 32 - Carolina 29
At least it has been proclaimed by more than one source as the greatest Superbowl ever..... ESPN Classic proclaims the 1958 Colts - Giants game as the greatest ever. http://espn.go.com/classic/s/unitasjohnnyadd.html Last edited by Stoke; 12-11-2006 at 11:04 AM. |

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
I'd say the Rams-Titans Super Bowl was better...games ending on a field goal are kind of...anti-climatic? There's a lot of "omgomgomgomgomg" to it if it's your team, but watching the Titans try to drive down the field and come up one...yard...short...
That's a much better game IMO. |

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
There was no "Bewb Showage" or "wardrobe malfunction" in that superbowl. 38 wins by that fact alone.

If Banne and I agree on something, it must be true.

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
Doing a little googling, I see a lot of votes for that game. But, believe it or not, there is a lot of folks out there referencing the 49ers - Bengals in 1989....
1st Pitt - Dal superbowl (X I think?) is getting votes. Some yo-yo is saying the Raiders - Bucs from a few years ago.... All a matter of opinion I guess.... |

Re: Greatest Football Game Evar!
However, it appears most people are leaning toward Superbowl III - Colts and the Jets.... the one where Joe Namath "guaranteed" the Jets would win.... and did 16-7....
