CFI Sammy, CFI...
Sure, it's an extra $50 a unit or so, but it totally eliminates the reloading step. (And CFI = Custom Factory Integration where Dell will load your image instead of their default We had 250 machines come in one time and didn't have to reload any of them, just rename em) |

I have a few different loads - and the reloading is constant after install - Japanese, Chinese, Korean... and English too! as customers move through. My company has it's own load from Dell, but I need to have a more internationalized one thats more flexible and our common internal load is anything but flexible.

I do believe that Dell will have multiple images on file for you and load the ones you request on orders. After all, it's just a matter of which hard drive they pull off the shelf to image.
It's a decent enough program if you don't have a domain you can use to install software for you. Dell is good about meeting your needs, more so than most companies anyway. Talk to your rep about CFI today! (Yeah...I should really start working on commission for them ) |
