There will be Oven Baked Turkey and Deep Fried Turkey at my family Thanksgiving. Along with mashed potatos and brown gravy, stuffing, rasberry jello, and anything that the 38 guests are bringing. It will be a big family get together. I can't wait to see them again.

We will be going to Oregon for 2 Thanksgivings. First one with Gryphons Mom and her family over at his uncles for a bar-b-qued turkey from what I hear. Should be interesting. Im sure he will have all the goodies but he likes to try new things so he better have some old goody stuff there or Im gonna have to get mid evil on him .
Second Thanksgiving at Gryphon's dad's on the Sat. after with all the goodies. I know he will make things the normal way and Mmmm I can't wait for the garlic mashed potatoes and pumpkin pies. Oh and then the leftovers the next few nights late at night *droooling*.

for us (verra and Vicious) I make ham with pineapple and cherries, mashed potatoes, green bean caserole, pumpkin pie for me, and chocolate pie for Vicious and whatever else we think we need. He has to work and I only get two days off from school. so it turns into a extened homework weekend.
EEK! my parents may show up that weekend....i have to find something to do other than watch TV. We're in trouble now. oh yeah glear, I've noticed you also have the evil money in Chris's closet as an avatar......nice choice. But mine is better!!!! JK....lol Last edited by Verra; 11-14-2005 at 07:31 PM. |

Niz and I are eating with Skeez, Muzo and his gf.
We're having: Smoked Turkey Smoked Ham Corn Bread Stuffing Gravy Coleslaw Potato Salad Buttered Whole Kernel Corn French Bread Berry Mallow Yam Bake Pumpkin Pie Possibly Corn Flake Cookies. Berry Mallow Yam Bake: This has become our traditional "sweet potato" addition to the Thanksgiving table although we use yams which are a little sweeter and more moist than sweet potatoes. Ingredients 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup oatmeal 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/3 cup butter 2 17oz. cans yams, drained 1 Can whole berry cranberry sauce 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows Combine flour, sugar, oatmeal and cinnamon. Cut in butter to make coarse crumbs. Lightly toss 1 cup crumbs with the yams and cranberries. Arrange in a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows and broil till browned. 6-8 servings. BUTTERSCOTCH CORNFLAKE COOKIES 1 (6 oz.) butterscotch chips 1/4 c. peanut butter 3 c. cornflakes Melt chips over boiling water in double boiler. Add peanut butter. Stir until melted. Add flakes. Drop by teaspoonful on waxed paper. Cool until set. Both are awesome and will be devoured if people don't mind trying something new. |
