re. the server, etc.
I know you guys have decided on the Mal'ganis server, etc. I hear some of the servers are packed, people can't get in, etc. etc. And I haven't even picked the game up yet and probably won't be able to for another week or more. There's probably other ATF in the same boat.
Allow me to make a suggestion. Why don't we decide on the server when things have settled down in a few days or a week's time? That way a server can get picked that has enough room for everybody, so we don't all get split up. I know people want to start working on their characters but it's not like you'd lose that much in just a week if you had to start over. Would you? Just a suggestion. In beta I couldn't even get on the same servers as you guys or as TKB because they were full. It would really suck if ATF folks couldn't play together because of that same thing happening. Then again don't do anything on account of me because although I'm leaning towards getting the game I haven't decided 100% yet.

Well I know that it will settle down as more servers come on and other jump servers. The problem is within 2 days of playing nobody wants to give up their character let alone a couple weeks.

Well majority of us have decided on a server and Im sure that in a few days or a at least 2 wks the pop will get worked out and Gryphon just posted about the Queing thing.
Its the ones that don't want to wait to get into the server that are changing servers and making so they don't play with us. We can only do so much and if they don't want to wait then we can't stop them. It just about being patient and some just can't do it . A server has been picked and if you choose to pick another don't expect everyone that is on that server to just leave with you. The only reason I can see us leaving is if it gets bad or stays bad down the road but we seem to going to stick it out and see what happens. (And yes there are exceptions like those that play during the hrs we don't Im not talkin about you)

Yeah no one is going to move once their characters is above 20. Just pick the server you wanna play on. In the end it's your money you can pay to get in line and hope you can play with your friends or just play the game. I’m willing to move to a new server now before most of us get to the higher levels and there’s actually something to lose by moving. But the games been out for a whole day already and there are people who will not give up what they’ve already worked for.
Just as we are saying “we’ll stick it out” we need to realize that most people are prob banking on other people moving too diff servers. This is the perfect time to think about a server move if one is ever going to happen. This is really up to the people who play during peak hours; I play after hours so I’m not affected by the shitty lag/long lines. I only had 1 “wait in line” moment in open beta so I know I’ll be fine in what ever server we pick. So lets get it over in this thread once and for all. Who is willing to move to a different server now and who is willing to wait it out? |

I'll wait it out. Everyone needs to remember that the queue's will be reduced as they allow more people into the servers after the first few days. Not to mention a lot of people have this week off work/school due to Thanksgiving, so after this week the pop will drop on all servers.

Well this is bullshit at this point. I just waited for about 80 minutes while being #800 in line, got down to #1 and then it kicked me back to almost 700 again! This is almost as bad as Lineage 2 when you couldnt' log in the first day.

Grunt that is the exact same thing that happened to me on my first attempt to get into Mserver. I got done with wait them Bam my new wait was 450 instead of 300. Only got worse as evening went on.

Not long after I posted that I finally got in and stayed on without lag until it appeared the servers crashed. So I think patience with Mal will work out. We were able to get the charter signed so it looks like the guild will be formed tomorrow.

Gonna wait it out, by the end of the weekend, the noob zones will have thinned out, and the queing will slowly die off.
