Recent WoW features you may have missed.

With 3.1 they released a way for you to assign talent points before spending them. You have to go to ESC > Interface > Display > Preview Talent Changes to enable this feature.

With 3.1.2 they included their own Equipment Manager, a way for you to swap gear sets.

Go to ESC > Interface > Display > Use Equipment Manager to enable this. Then create your gear sets from the icon in the top right of the character frame.

Here is a macro for swapping gear when you swap specs with DPS as spec 1 and Healing as spec 2. The macro icon will show what you will be changing into when pressing it, the opposite of what you currently are.

Druid example.

Code:
#show [spec:1] Healer Spell; [spec:2] DPS Spell
/equipset [spec:1] Healer Gearset; [spec:2] DPS Gearset
/usetalents [spec:1] 2; [spec:2] 1
Change the orange text to spells. That spells icon will represent the set in the macro when you use ? as the macro icon.

Code:
#show [spec:1] Healing Touch; [spec:2] Starfire
/equipset [spec:1] Healing; [spec:2] Boomkin
/usetalents [spec:1] 2; [spec:2] 1
Here is an addon to hide the chat spam when switching specs. http://www.wowinterface.com/download...entRespec.html
