I let my GF play on my account this week on a different server. She likes it hey Mikey! So I'm buying her a copy this week. So far she's been playing a Night Elf Hunter. I'll also be needing to get her a headset so that she can get on TS with us.

Everyone make an effort to twink Cynia >_> Level 40.5 warlock...I just have problems getting out and about at the moment due to the "awkward" phase of the low 40s. You're getting crap XP out of the 30 zones, but you can't kill stuff fast enough in the 40 zones to avoid the whorde. I think around 45 or 46 was when the warrior got enough steam to get to 53 pretty easily, and had the Honor System not been released during that time it wouldn't have been so bad to get to 60.
But yeah...twink that one...trading a useless warrior for a useless warlock. >_>

The sad thing is that warlocks are so remarkably useful and powerful when played properly. However, so many warlocks out there are idiots that people think the class out and out sucks.
There are issues, to be sure, and they're not crazily overpowered like shamans or rogues, but I think it's a decent enough class. Awesome PvE abilities...very iffy on the PvP stuff. One defensive ability (unless you have a voidwalker summoned, the least useful PvP pet, summoned for PvP) that's negated by 11+ different things in the game = not fun. However, as a back lines support class, you'll be hard pressed to find better. No runners, slow casters, soulstones, humanoid crowd control, reduced damage to the tanks, increased damage from the mages. It's crazy how good they are when you let them do their job. |
