Guild Event Schedule and FAQ

After the results of the poll, the following schedule has been determined for guild events:

Tuesday - 7 Server
Wednesday - 8 Server
Friday - 9 Server*
Saturday - 8 Server
Sunday - 4 Server* and 8 Server

Times marked with an asterisk will be designated for Heroic mode instances. Please ensure the character you want to bring is properly keyed and geared.

Signups will be posted two weeks in advance with priority going to those who sign-up on a first come, first served basis.

What do you mean "Guild Event?"
One of the issues we often have is getting people online at the same time. It's quite common for seven or eight people to be online, but because we trickle in by ones and twos people often get involved in other groups or quests and are unable to go on a guild instance run. The thought process is when there are known times for these events, people know to adjust accordingly and hopefully we can get more time playing together.

What does it mean when the calendar says "Scheduled Event" and not a location?
One of the ongoing issues with these is "where do we go?" with the discussion in some cases taking so long that the entire effort falls apart. To remedy this, we are using a simple solution: If there are no specific requests or no agreement on a destination for these events, the location of the relevant daily dungeon quest will be used. Sometimes it might not be your favorite instance, but the quest makes for a nice bonus for finishing the instance even if you don't get anything from the instance itself.

So these events are for 70s only?
Not at all. While they will likely commonly be for the max level instances, there's no rule against the group deciding to make a run into a leveling (i.e. - sub-70) instance. However, level 70 instances tend to be the ones people will spend the most time in, so they will undoubtedly be the most common ones run. If later demand shows a need for more leveling instances, that will be worked out more fully at a later date.

Do I HAVE to come to these things?
There is no "requirement" to come, attendance is entirely voluntary. We do ask that people attempt to help out when they're able, as that's kind of the point of a guild, but it's not a set-in-stone requirement either. Instances are just more fun with friends so this is a way to do that more regularly. If you can make it, cool...if not, it's just a game, not a second job (despite how it might feel some days).

Do I have to sign up at the calendar?
While that would be super-nice as people can plan much better and is highly recommended, it's not currently a requirement either. People who DO sign up however will have more leeway in what character they bring, so if you're a DPS class and three other DPS people signed up already on the calendar, you might be left out the in the cold. Since that would suck, make sure to sign up whenever you're reasonably certain that you'll be available! If nothing else, use the "Tentative" option so you'll be ahead of people who don't sign up at all.

How do I work the calendar and sign-up system?
Consult the Calendar Guide. Note that you will need to be logged in to the forums. If you just created a forum account and/or do not have access to that link, PM to Gryphon.

What if I have further questions?
Just respond to this thread and a friendly customer service drone will be along to extract your eye juice presently. I mean...answer your questions. Yes...answers....that's what they'll do...
