Let's see - Normandy is a given. You Have LOTS of important WWII landmarks in France, and Berlin is always a good place for some culture and history, Poland and Austria have concentration camps you can visit, if you're wanting to get a comlete view of the holocaust, (it DID happen..) There are a ton of places in Europe to see, especially if you want to explore WWII landmarks. Even Amsterdam, and Norway were touched by the war.. Hell, the Aleutian Islands even have some sites, (I know it's not Europe, but still.) Cuz the Japs invaded Alaska like idiots, and the American Marines and Army fought their own war there....

Amsterdam is fine.. but all the big cities here are full with junks etc.. They ruin the perfect picture of Amsterdam. If you want to see some WWII stuff then Hat is right, Germany, France and well Amsterdam has the famous Anne Frank
Italy is also great, I rather spend my time in Italty then in France. But I suggest you surf a bit on the net to find out wich country suits you the best. |
