Well damn....
In case if any of you were wondering....Yes I am getting the hell out of here before that damn hurricane hits. Its eerie seeing all the birds migrating west in a cloudless sky. My workplace is excepted to have severe damage which is a shame because there are 150+ year old books that they couldnt move to a more suitable location. If anyone wants, Ill post some before and after pictures so you can laugh at my misfortune...but hey, maybe a new house is in the works?

Well, we have boarded as many windows as we could after our next door neighbor (I love them) arranged for us to get 7 sheets plus I had cedar fencing material and some more sheets of plywood. I'm f*cking tired right now (2nd story windows) and we still have a 6 hour drive (I hope it's only this) to go 120 miles. I hope 120 miles is far enough away. Crap! I'm too tired to care right now. Lets load and go.
We're going to leave around 1000 pm CST (in a half an hour). I hope we only have some rain and wind damage when we come back, but it's stressful to think that the house could be wiped...... ughhh. Forgot to mention I'm little north of Galveston so you'll know why if I'm not on for awhile  Sorry for the fragmented..... I'm outta here. Wish the best for us, k

Hope for the best for you both. I'll be working National Guard issues the rest of the week and over the weekend. We already have extra people comming in to help plan the migration of help in.

Got to Austin at about 4:30 this mourning. Dont know if this is far enough away but there are no hotels within 300 miles : / Good luck Torque and Frils, after watching the news is appears Houston is deadlocked traffic wise

I would imagine they are quite unpleasent during a hurricane. They become orange balls of intense stinging pain that can cause slight eye irratation and bruises in some case.
