Re: Now that we have the playoff dance card...
I'm gonna have to MAJORLY disagree with you on this. Lets look at some stats. But for the sake of the argument, we have to compare BACKS to BACKS. If you want to break out just MTs stats and compare to D Williams and J. Stewart, it will be even more skewed....
Atlantas backs gained a measley 6 more yards over the course of the season than did Carolinas. I'd have to call this a tie. 6 yards aint diddly over 16 games. Carolina averaged 4.8 a carry compared to Atlantas 4.4 Carolinas backs scored 30 TDs compared to Atlantas 23 Carolinas backs had 24 20+ yd runs compared to Atlantas 16 Atlantas backs fumbled 8 times compared to Carolinas 4 (and none by D. Williams) I'm gonna have to say that overall, Atlantas backs are not greater than Carolinas backs. Edit: I went ahead and did it. MT = 1699 yds 17 TDs DW+JS = 2351 yds 28 TDs 2nd Edit: In December - when it really counts MT = 491 yds 4 TDs DW = 560 yds 7 TDS JS = 252 yds 4 TDS Last edited by Stoke; 01-05-2009 at 02:03 PM. |
