The Gankin Buisness
I had fun yesterday in Hillsbrad Foothills.
I had no idea how stupid some horde guys are! I'm only 21 and I took out a 24 priest and his 26 priest buddy! I was astonished, I don't even have some of the leet skills that rogue's get later on. I even wiffed on my initial ambush. Then right after that I stealthed and spotted a 26 hunter. Ok this dude should of smacked me butt around. Granted i waited till his pet was off on some mob. Due to lag I ended up in front of him by the time my ambush was suppose to go off so it didn't and he saw me. I still kicked his butt! Ahh so glorious. I think I'm just gonna grind out to 26 now so I can get Cheap Shot. I'm really liking my class so far. Can't wait till the day I turn 60 so I can bug you guys to go to molten core over and over again for my nightslayer suit! Mwwwwuuuahahahahahahahahah :P

rogues pretty much dominate against cloth classes if they get the first hit. glad your having fun and managed to stay alive in hillsbrad with the 60's attacking TM and SS.

This brings a tear to my eye beacuase I once felt the same as you do about rogues until about a month after i hit 60 with my rogue and noticed i still only had 1 SC piece. Funny how my priest has done more quests at 31 then my rogue had at 50. =(

Wow, I seem to notice the same thing, but I love having rogues in my parties. Having the crowd control saves the group from wipeage often

They can be nice to have in a group but are a dime a dozen and end game a mage is far more usefull with good dmg.
Unfortunetly the only classes worth playing in this game are priest, druid, warrior and mage. |

^^^ begone with you, bearer of depressing information.
And I just wanna say: I hate rogues. So much so, in fact, that I'm thinking about starting up an all-rogue ATF gank squad of alternates! Whenever we needed a break from our regular characters, the five of us or so would group up and go ganking...5 stealthed rogues...oooooohhhh...imagine the pain...

"bug you guys to go to molten core over and over again for my nightslayer suit"
A. Nightslayer is RARE as hell from what I have seen in Molten Core. B. Molten Core is a once a week instance. C. ATF isn't in Molten Core (yet) Hate to be the bearer of more bad news! On a brighter note, to really rock the house in PVP you don't need Nightslayer. As a rogue you will probably be WELL suited in Shadowcraft and Dire Maul leathers. Ayame is #1 standing and rank on the server and she has ZERO Nightslayer or epics for that matter. In general, rogues have it easy when it comes to PVP. Do a /who Myths Fury and see where their rogues hang out. I will give you one hint....Ogri are the first 4 letters. Zanik

Not quite true Darkfact, Hunters are often in demand when mages are unavailable...but I do notice my warrior getting tons of invites to go on random raids...it's nice to be needed. A lot of groups also like a warlock/paladin combo for soul-stoned plate-armored rezzers...and in Strat and Scholo the Paladin class isn't completely useless, just their standard mostly.
Overall, the pickup group needs ranking go (as in, the classes that groups are most often hanging around trying to get): 1) Priests 2) Druids 3) Mage 4) Warriors 5) Hunters 6) Warlocks 7) Paladins 8) Rogues That's not to say rogues aren't tremendously useful, they're just a dime a dozen. Was in a pickup raid once that had 2 60 rogues drop out while looking for a priest and both were replaced by different 60 rogues well before we found a priest. They're just common as gutter rats... For ATF, the "damn we don't have enough" rankings seem to be: 1) Mages 2) Rogues 3) Warriors 4) Warlocks 5) Hunters 6) Priests 7) Paladins 8) Druids If you weren't around for the 5 druid raid...well, that was a lot of moonfire going off... |

Well damn rain on my parade why dont you!
I made a rogue for PVP not PVE. I know they kinda suck in endgame from what I've read. Seems the AOE damage from the raid bosses tears us a new one. But is being a rogue really that bad? I could start playing my mage again. :P I o have fun with it somewhat just I hate being so squishy! And if i do play my mage again I'll be playing a frist mage ) yum |

Only reason hunters go is A. people want better chances at thier gear when it drops and B. for the last part of UBRS to trap one of the protectors.
