5-Man Strat SM
I truly enjoyed our jaunt to the SM side of Stratholm last night as a 5-man group. A LOT!!!! I should qualify that, Wyldthang has had a 5-man quest for a nice reward at the end of the quest chain that she'd been wanting to do for a long time. So, lets say I was easily excitable last night. But mostly, I enjoyed the challenge of the run with only 5 men. I'm finding, now that I've learned all the high level, 5 to 15-man, instances that I like them when they're more challenging. Like DM West or the 10 to 15-man ones run with the intended 5-man group instead. I think that doing these instances with the intended 5-man groups instead of 10-15 man raids being more challenging would make us all better players, faster.
I would like to see us do more 5-man action in the future. Even if we have 10,15 or 20 guildies ready to raid on a given night. We could all break into groups of 5 and all hit the same instance at the same time and make some kind of contest out of it. |

Yes it was a great deal of fun. I think this is the first 5 man I've run since switching to shadow spec and it was really hard for me. Things I used to count on like bigger faster heals weren't there for me, and it took some getting use too.
I like shadow, but depending on the talent rework for priest in 1.10, I may go back to holy.

That was alot of fun and would like to do more of those also to clear out quests and see what kind of challenges we can do in a 5 man. I didn't think we were going to make it all the way but I think we had a good mix in the group so it made it alot more easy.
Cyclonus was taking over the Stoke deaths this trip . I loved that last wipe we had and then watching as Fate tried to hang in there but then she died then seeing that group respawn RIGHT after we all died .

Stupid last group respawning. I could have taken the remaining mobs had it not been for that. I COULD HAVE TAKEN THEM!!! *floats back down to reality* Okay no really, that was a lot of fun, and it was absolutely fabulous to clear 4 quests out of my log. And, AND...I finally got my [wow=item]Ornate Adamantium Breastplate[/wow], to replace my former crappy - albeit much prettier - chestpiece. So 3 cheers for decent gear for ATF's only willing tank!!

If this same group wanted to schedule a 5 man Baron run , I'd be cool with that.
It was a wonderfully balanced group. |

This thread
Stoke, I'm sorry to hear of your internal performance "issues". I've always had the highest opinion of your abilities. Although a rogue is not the top priority of the healer, they should be high on the list. So, to be fair, you dying a lot could be less of a reflection on you Stoke, as it should be on the healers.
But, this thread wasn't intended to be about you. Anyway, yes! Indeed! It was a nicely balanced group. I think we did quite well too. Last edited by Cucucan; 02-07-2006 at 11:01 AM. |
