Got any Bike riders in here?

I just bought a 1979 Suzuki GS 750 yesterday, and it's a pretty good bike. Rode it about 100 miles or so, and everything was good here's a pic, and I'll have more outdoor pics later.. I took this one last night after I spent 2 hours cleaning and waxing it, because it sat for 2 years with no TLC till yesterday...

Pedal bikes are teh suck! hehe j/k. I've wanted one for a LONG time, and I finally decided to pull the trigger, and this was the best bike for the money.

Gryph - You still ride an a regular basis? That's a good looking bike for a '78, fo sho. I just wish mine was a 6 speed instead of a 5, I'd get better than 40mpg then, since I only have a 3 gallon tank or so, so the distance per stop isn't that great, but I'm gonna test the range on it soon enough, got a couple long rides planned this summer, plus commuting with it on a daily basis.

I got it a few years ago from my Dad, I haven't ever got my endorsement. It rides a little high for me, I would like the seat to be lower to the ground like yours. This one my legs are straight when at a stop, a little uncomfortable and feels tippy. Traffic is a bit crazy around here to be riding something I'm not comfortable with, especially riding to work for 20 miles, I rode it to work a lot when I was only 5 minutes away.

*sigh* *kicks the floor* *pouts*

Vicious won't allow me to have a bike, even if we could afford it. He says they are too dangerous for me.

Heres a Harley that I doubt he'll have any issues with.

ROFL @ Garich!

I love riding this bike. It's so strong mechanically, and sounds great. I put a pic of my bike on my desktop at work, and guys were looking at it, and couldn't tell it was a '79, so that's great. I'm lovin it right now, and goin to take the endorsement test on Fri.. Now I need all you left coasters to stop sending all this damn rain so I can ride damnit!

Jaydal, where's the emblems, etc? New paint and didn't have them on yet or what? The bike looks to be in really good shape, how's she run?

Well, I took my endorsement test yesterday, and all the examiner said to me was "perfect". So I guess I did oK. Gryph, my seat looks low, but it's actually quite high. Having a higher center of gravity is nice because your slow speed control is much better, and you can turn sharper at slower speeds. Maybe your tire pressure is too high? Either way, it's a good looking bike.
