My New Toy
Being children of the 80's, we spent a good part of our formative years in various arcades and gamerooms feeding quarters into such things as Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Defender, Dig Dug, Robotron, etc.
Those were good times. My favorite game was always Galaga. To this day, if we are out somewhere and happen to run across one, I would always stop and drop a quarter in for several minutes of good ol' quality 80's style entertainment. Mrs. Stoke - knowing how much I liked this - decided to do something about it. Here's our new toy: |

Re: My New Toy
Dude I have always wanted some stand-ups myself. I have visions of a game room with a wet bar, pool table, dart board, and some stand-ups.

Re: My New Toy
Ok, I got the one standup and the dartboard. No room for the pooltable and all the liquor is in the kitchen
But I'm working on it. |

Thats sweet!
I liked Pacman and Centipede. I think Sharper Image is selling stand ups but they put more than 1 game on them. Where did she get yours?

Re: My New Toy
Its a refurbished original. A place here in Mooresville NC (Race City USA) that does DirecTV and other misc. electronic stuff reworks them and sells them. It definately has battle scars but it has a brand new monitor and control panel.

Re: My New Toy
lol! buh uuurn!
Try Ebay, they have orginal consoles and oinball machines - I've heard the PB machines can be a bit cantankorous to maintain. (At least the ones at my arcade always seemed to be out-of-order) |
